Profile
BPW Brampton has been in existence since 1947. We can only imagine the accomplishments of its members over the years. Today the club enjoys a membership of over 50 and is one of the largest clubs in Ontario. The club is going strong and includes a large number of entrepreneurs, many of whom are involved in other professional and volunteer activities. The club provides its members with a balanced combination of camaraderie and advocacy.
Our Resolutions Committee has been building strength and steam over the last couple of years. We’ve been actively engaging in participating BPW Provincial Conferences to ensure our members’ voices are heard on governmental issues that affect women.
We are proud to have received the Provincial award for the club with the largest number of Young BPW members (women 35 and younger). Our club encourages diversity that assists in ensuring we consider the needs and opinions of all types of women in our community.
Focus
BPW Brampton has been very busy with successful initiatives like our craft show and Euchre Tournament. We encourage partnerships with other community organizations and institutions; North Park Secondary School being one of them. We enjoyed our 13th annual golf tournament this past June, which was a lot of fun and a great way to start the summer!
Our events help us support our community and our funds are directed to organizations both locally and abroad that meet the BPW mandate.
