Profile
BPW Kingston was founded in 1946 and has about 25 members. We provide an annual bursary of $500 to a woman returning to school or building a business. We have a diverse group of women from retired members who have 50 years membership to a new influx of younger women.
Our meetings start with dinner at 6:00 PM. Smitty’s provides us with a good selection of very reasonably priced entrees. We have round the table introductions and a brief information session. Our guest speaker is scheduled for around 7:30 and we are always informed, entertained and stimulated.
BPW is for every woman, we are women working to improve the lives of all women. We are not all “professionals”, many are employees, some are stay at home mothers, some women are running their own businesses. Come and visit for two meetings before you need to make a decision to join. Annual dues are $99.00.
BPW Kingston raises money each year towards the Kay Maughan Bursary, which is presented to one or more women experiencing economic hardship while pursuing their education and/or careers.
